In the north, many farmers welcome visitors who want to take a look around, learn about life on an Icelandic farm and see some of the beautiful animals.
At Gauksmýri in Húnavatnssýsla district there is a variety of interesting birdlife and also a large number of horses. For more information see: www.gauksmyri.is
Other places where you can see collections of animals are Krossar in the Dalvíkurbyggð area, Stóri Dunhagi in Eyjafjörður and at Keldudalur in Skagafjörður.
